FERAL, along with ATREE and NCBS has a field station at the Emerald colony of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. The EB has been very supportive of our field station which has allowed us to have all the amenities of a modern town quite close to our field sites in the Nilgiri South forest. This field station caters largely to the Changing Water Cycle project, supported by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. The contact person at the field station is Saravanan. The address is: FERAL Emerald Field Station No.1/44, 3rd Block Generation Hydro Station Emerald, Ooty Nilgiris - 643209, Tamil Nadu Ph: +91 423 2595990
The Bangalore office is the nerve centre for most of our projects under the Wildlife Biology and Conservation programme. Our small geomatics facilities also reside here. The office is ususally buzzing with activity as many researchers hop in for impromptu meetings and discussions with the team based here. The address is: 23, Viviani Road, Richards Town, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560005.
The administrative office of FERAL was based out of Pondichery until a few years ago, when we made the move to our campus at the outskirts of the city. The campus is a quiet and relaxed place, a bit isolated, but with the basic amenities.
